Our school assemblies are about values, recognition, celebration, reflection, student participation and also a channel for the headteacher to embed whole school vision and be someone the children can relate to.
Assemblies always start with collective worship led by the Quran & Arabic teachers where children recite prayers together.
Children sit on the mats in class rows. Class Dojo winners have the opportunity to be seated on the bench as a reward for their achievement. Children remove their shoes as the same mats are used for prayer time.
The themes are selected to be inspiring, motivating and informative. Guest speakers are often invited to deliver certain topics as well as class assemblies delivered by the children to share their learning.
